Fun in Public Art

“Artists are not miracle workers – they’re just another alternative. “ -Mary Jane Jacobs

To continue with my trip back home in the Philippines. ..

Here are some Public Art which can be found in the Hannah’s Beach Resort in Pagudpud, Ilocos. This is a fun place to be, aside from being with nature and the sea, what I liked most were the more than life sized sculptures which were a great photo op for young and old alike.

Back in Manila, we went to Art In Island: 3D Art Gallery, which is an interactive art exhibition, or “selfie museum”, in Cubao in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines.

These are Murals situated right beside the entrance.

An introduction of the place can be seen in forms of murals in the lobby of the museum

And upon entering the main exhibit area, we were asked to leave our shoes because ‘Shoes were not allowed inside”. Might as well…so that the paintings can be well preserved. Socks were ok but I didn’t wear any socks that day so I hired this sort of bed slippers which were much fun to walk with and slide across the flooring. Wheeeee

What a gloriously fun post, Teresa! The outside of the building is much like what they did in Mesa with the dinosaur museum. It is so cool. BTW, shame on you pulling on that man’s panties! LOL. Fabulous pictures and fun all around. Perfect for PPAC!

It is cool isn’t it. We had so much fun. And it is a good thing that shoes are not allowed inside because we can just slide and pose anywhere. Unlike the ones we have here in Melbourne.

That Art In Island museum looks great! I love the mural outside and my favourite of the others is the monkey with the phone at (I assume) one of the Angkor temples! The interactive ones look really fun!
